Both extremely active in the social media worlds (in fact, that’s how we met!), we come from complementary backgrounds. Yvonne from the world of technology and Trevor from communications. Which is interesting because that could be a great way to describe social media - the marriage of technology with communication!

Microsoft graduate Yvonne created the Ms Megabyte brand/persona in the mid 90’s. This led to a national media profile and best-selling book. Then a professional speaking career followed. Yvonne invented IdeasWhileYouSleep.com – an overnight brainstorming service run over Twitter where she has almost 16,000 followers (@yvonne_adele). Overnight, customers get 100 ideas to solve any business challenge. Yvonne has been a finalist in the Telstra Business Womens Awards and the Anthill Cool Company Awards and is a Professional Speaker (CSP, NSAA)

Trevor Young is a former journalist who has spent the past 20 years as a public relations and marketing communications specialist working big brands and nonprofit organisations and startups . He has started three marketing services companies since the late-90s, selling two and merging the third with the world’s largest PR firm, Edelman. Since 2006 @TrevorYoung has been immersed in social media; his blog PR Warrior (prwarrior.com) is one of Australia’s 25 best business blogs according to SmartCompany.com.au, and was a finalist in the ‘2011 Best Blogs in Australia Competition’.
